Also, Acer has the following driver available for the AOD netbook: Before installation there was no pointer at all after installation of Windows I just installed Windows 10 in my Dell Latitude E and now the touchpad pointer is freezing up often. The pointing stick senses applied force by using two pairs of resistive strain gauges. It worked perfectly on windows 8.

Note that the “disable trackpad while typing” option is not user-accessible in this driver, but it is permanently on, which I think is ideal. Thanks for the brilliant list. In time, the software will re-calibrate and stop the motion. I would like to fix this, instead of buying another used touchpad from ebay. I personally do have the locking-up issue, but I hate Dell’s version, so I just deal with it touchpad/piinting go back into standby, resume again, and I have a trackpad again.
